Your Role and Responsibilities
As a theoretical research scientist with IBM Quantum, your job will be to advance the field of quantum computing by developing new methods and insights that shape and execute on the IBM quantum roadmap. Areas of research include quantum error correction, near term and fault tolerant algorithms, information theory, compilation, quantum simulation, and quantum-centric supercomputing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience in academic graduate program related to applicable area of quantum computing, such as error correction, information theory, fault tolerant algorithms, or compilation.
Demonstrated independent theoretical research
Strong publication record in high-impact journals or top conference proceedings.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Successful record of collaborative work
Ability to communicate technical results effectively
Programming experience in core & scientific language (e.g. python, numpy, scipy, matplotlib) and Qiskit
* Familiarity with "Git and/or Github"
