Your Role and Responsibilities
The individual works in an agile, collaborative environment to recommend and develop testing standards and application of quality technologies. Lead the Testing Team in a distrusted agile team environment, encourages application development that builds testability in from the ground up. Ensures the quality of product is robust and failure scenarios are considered and refactored. Collaborates with cross-functional team members on use case creation, feature mapping and functional development, from before definition through final deployment. Performs exploratory testing using industry leading practices. Discovers defects/bugs and works with developers and POs to determine root cause and prevent similar issues. Drives adoption of test automation - system tests, integration tests, functional tests, e2e tests.

This role executes the tasks required to test an IBM product or a client system to ensure it functions according to specifications and client requirements and meets the business needs. Testing activities cover all aspects of the product/system including sanity, smoke, function/component, system, regression, and service.
Your roles & responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the domain that they are responsible for testing (Payments Domain).
- Lead and manage a QA team of both functional and automation testers and deliver projects internally and for IBM's clients
- Report status of QA delivery and project updates to senior leadership in a timely manner
- Develop Testing Frameworks and improvise test process and standards.
- Review and analyze Project/Product requirements, design specifications and be able to:
- Develop and document test cases/scenarios/use cases,
- Execute testing using tools as required and document test results.
- Support Maintenance of test harnesses and test artifacts.
- Investigate problems uncovered during testing, recreating those problems as appropriate and executing fix validations.
- Identify risks to the management and other teams as necessary and plans mitigation approach
- Participate in defect triage and troubleshoot issues during root cause analysis sessions.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and support in planning of test team effort estimates.
- Take ownership of modules or components within a product and certify from QA.
- Collaborate with teams across various geographies.
This role can be performed from Toronto, ON and requires to be in office once a week.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Test Automation experience on cloud native technologies like microservices, APIs, container orchestrators etc.,
- Ability to PoC testing tools and automation frameworks.
- Must have experience testing variety of UI technologies based on React, Angular, Node JS etc.,
- Understanding of different API types like openAPI, public, private, partner, composite etc.,
- Hands-on testing knowledge on API protocols and architectures like REST, SOAP, RPC etc.,
- Must have experience in the following tools/areas:
- Test Management Tools such as HP ALM, Xray, Test Rail and Zephyr etc.,
- UI automation Tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNg, Junit, Cucumber etc.,
- API automation Tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, ReadyAPI, SwaggerHub, Soap UI etc.,
- Test Automation scripting and coding languages such as Java, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, Gherkin etc.,
- IBM Testing Tools and frameworks such as IBM Ignite, IBM RIT etc.,
- Relational databases and automating database technologies like Oracle SQL, NoSQl etc.,
- Agile SDLC methodologies and related process management tools such as Confluence & Jira.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Configuration and key management (E.g., Hashicorp consul, vault etc.,).
- Source code management & version control tools like Bitbucket, JFrog, Github, Git etc.,
- Cloud architectures and platform offerings such as AWS, MS Azure, Redhat OCP etc.,
- Experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Kubernetes etc.,
- Experience implementing software systems in Payments industry
