Your Role and Responsibilities
- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, REST Assured, and Cucumber.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that tests are executed efficiently and effectively during the development and deployment processes.
- Manual Testing: Perform exploratory and manual testing when necessary to validate features and identify potential issues that automated tests might miss.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps, and other QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage and seamless integration of testing into the development lifecycle.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs and issues; collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Quality Assurance Best Practices: Advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance, including test automation, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Test Automation Tools: Proficiency in Selenium for UI testing, REST Assured for API testing, and Cucumber for BDD.
- CI/CD Experience: Experience in integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Manual and Exploratory Testing: Strong skills in manual and exploratory testing to complement automated testing efforts.
- Bug Tracking: Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
