Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
In this position you will be working closely with the Cloud Pak for Data core platform development team to ensure quality of code and product.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with Product Management, Development and Architecture to understand and guide product features and testing.
  • Contribute to the development of new methods for automation in QA.
  • Lead, attend and participate in scrum meetings to understand development features.
  • Manage testing environment and test data using various tools such as Jenkins & GIT.
  • Executes and updates test cases and scenarios. Perform usability, functional, and regression testing.
  • Evaluate and test software bug fixes, extensions, and features.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 4+ years of professional experience in Software testing.
  • Experience with UI automation frameworks.
  • Experience with build, testing, and continuous integration tools.
  • Proficient in automation tools like Selenium, Puppeteer etc.
  • Proficient in Javascript, node.js or any other programming languages.
  • Proficient in shell scripting.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thrive in self-motivated internal-innovation driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins
  • Experience in REST APIs and REST client like Postman.
  • Familiarity with Openshift is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Puppeteer framework.
