Who you are:
We are looking for strong Software Project managers who can identify, plan, track, manage and report status of the project deliverables, ensure the development process is defined and adhere to properly for the Cloud Object Storage team at IBM. You should be an experienced project manager, managed large agile engineering team deliverables, have hands on experience managing large scale infrastructure projects, rich experience reporting and project dashboard creation, status update to executives and excellent communication skills.

What you'll do:
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in the success of the IBM Cloud Object Storage organization. Project Managers in this organization help with the design, building, and development of the software engineers in this squad.
As a Project Manager, you have to ensure that you are running scrum meetings, updating management of proper status, including velocity and any improvements the team can make. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for ensuring infrastructure updates are handled timely and risks appropriately highlighted and mitigated.
You will be asked to help with the support of the service by ensuring that the engineers have the right training, education and proper tools to help solve any customer related issues.
To maintain competitive advantage, project managers must be able to work quickly and produce high-quality status and ensure that they are bridging any gaps between various dependencies as well as bringing the proper awareness to any blockers to upper management.
Working across tribes and other organizations is key, being able to speak on some technical pieces of the project is also key.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 6-9 years of high-tech industry experience with a track record of experience in program management or project management.
- Experience in running scrums and scrum of scrums as a scrum master and implementing agile practices in the project/program management
- Experience in tools such as Jira, GitHub, Zenhub, knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development tools like Jenkins and Travis
- Excellent knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and operations planning.
- Experience Project Managing large scale infrastructure projects involving Operating System, Hardware and Software End of Life Management, commissioning and decommissioning of data centers etc.
- Experience project managing large program implementation with specialization in Cloud domain.
- Ability to create and maintain master project plan in collaboration with all stakeholders , drive periodic meetings to meet the project plan and present the report to senior leadership
- Ability to identify risks in the early stage, bring it to senior leadership attention and proactively work with internal or dependent teams to resolve the issues.
- Ability to front end the team/program status to senior management and work with teams across worldwide locations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record on increasing the velocity of deliverables
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Managing technical software and hardware projects including data center deployments
- Familiarity with Cloud and Industry compliances such as HIPAA, ISO, SOC2 TYPE 2, GDPR etc.
- Prior experience of working in Cloud as a system admin/developer/DevOps role
