Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Product Marketing Strategist, this individual will be responsible for driving a consistent IBM POV and a successful go-to-market strategy aligned to our marketing & communications AI campaign.
This role will maximize impact through collaboration - bridging between business opportunity and aligning the right marketing & communications execution. For example, working with product teams, content, events, ibm.com and into the field globally. Key responsibilities include:

• Translate business priorities into marketing objectives that inform priorities for our campaign execution end to end
• Identify and put into motion brand relevancy opportunities for the campaign.
• Support strategic new product and feature introductions and key launches - strategic global execution from announcement to GA and beyond.
• Develop recommendations for improvements toward planning and implementation process (including other functions as needed like sales and product management).
• Own risk assessment, opportunity costs, and implement procedures to track marketing planning milestones and escalate as appropriate.
• Uncover opportunities for integration across priority products that will create thoughtful client experiences both digitally and face-to-face (for example: bringing together multiple product launches that aim to target the same audience and client segmentation at the same time) inclusive of developing an overarching value proposition and marketing message for this audience.
• Develop cross-portfolio marketing messages and compelling stories that influence analysts, customers, and partners towards IBM's offerings.
• This role has direct influence on the success of the business and is measured by business revenue, pipeline, and marketing contribution KPIs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in product or B2B marketing
• Enthusiastic about emerging technology, such as artificial intelligence
• Track record of working on digital transformation initiatives and emerging tech
• Strategic thinker that is naturally curious and can make connection points across a matrixed organization
• Strong operational rigor to activate multiple marketing and communication disciplines
• Understanding of the big picture and being able to be a persuasive communicator that can build and motivate diverse roles and teams
• Assessing potential risk, escalations and opportunities, while working through mitigation plans with key stakeholders

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies.
• Experience developing audience strategies (e.g., understanding and prioritizing potential audiences based on key behaviors/characteristics).
• Client experiences design & measurement (e.g., using technology to measure and improve the customer experience and translate data into meaningful actions).
