Instana is looking to add a Product Manager with a proven track record of successful product ownership and growth.
This critical position will evaluate opportunities, and determine the features and outcomes that drive the most significant revenue for the products in our product portfolio, helping create value and contributing to the company's success.
Your role and responsibilities
- Define and maintain user and experience outcome-based product roadmaps
- Utilize Continuous Discovery Habits and Design Thinking to solve customer problems with novelty.
- Engage customers to capture feedback, develop insights, evangelize, and educate
- Identify discrete segments within our customer base. Define user value proposition and experience roadmaps.
- Collaborate and communicate with other Product Managers in planning processes and coordinate product execution.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering and Design to create and iterate on multiple differentiated products and customer experiences.
- Maintain an end-to-end business plan for products in the market (including pricing); set detailed direction and priorities across disciplines and monitor follow-through.
- Manage market products and propose ideas to respond to feedback/changes.
- Conduct, perform, and analyze market research to identify new opportunities. That includes competitive research, reports analysis, and making strategic recommendations for future product direction.
- Determine pricing, and marketing communication strategy, identify routes to market, and be responsible for enabling the channels to work with Go-To-Market teams.
- Work across all product lifecycle stages, from product definition, planning, release, modifications, maintenance, and market response.

Successful candidates will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, a user-centric viewpoint, and the drive to maximize market opportunities by designing and developing new offerings and capabilities.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise
- 3+ years of experience in product management, brand or segment management, which includes:
- Defining and driving processes at scale across large organizations
- Communicating and reporting to leadership teams
- Organizational presentation and collaboration skills
- Successfully defining and driving initiatives that span multiple organizational boundaries, under varying levels of ambiguity
- Knowledge of the entire software development life cycle - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
Preferred technical and professional experience
- MBA, MSM or Masters in Engineering a plus
- Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success
- Prior experience in APM, IT Ops, AIOps, or Observability (vendor or practitioner)
- Passion for driving increased efficiency across teams in multiple multinational locations
