Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Product Manager for Instana, your primary role will be to help executing the strategy of application monitoring within Instana. This includes the understanding of user requirements and translate them into user stories. Also working closely with the engineering team to make sure the solution fulfils requirements. Your contribution will be pivotal in aiding clients application performance and user satisfaction. This requires collaborating with cross-functional teams and different business units.

• Experience: 0-3 years of product management or product owner experience, preferably in tracing, observability, application monitoring or related fields.
• Technical Background: Strong technical understanding of distributed tracing, APM tools (such as Jaeger or Zipkin), microservices architecture, and cloud environments. Programming experience on at least one language.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, user feedback, and performance metrics to drive product decisions.
• Project Management: Experience with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences. Experience in customer facing roles.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience; MBA or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
