  1. Objectives of this role
    • Lead overall strategy for the development of education and training programs to support IBM Product Managers with their career track and skill development.
    • Drive strategy and roadmap for the IBM Product Management website
    • Oversee all curriculum planning and design for the portfolio of product manager education and enablement programs, informing appropriate instruction models
    • Align all educational and enablement programs to the IBM HR and business expectations of product managers
    • Bring industry best practices to bear when developing course design and activation programming
    • Contribute to the operational plan and program for all Product Manager education, including PM Academy
    • Establish tools and frameworks to aid product managers and PM people managers with regular, data-driven performance assessments
    • Coordinate and organize modularized learning programs for deep skill development
    • Deliver course materials, serving as lead facilitator and coach
    • Guide and supervise all facilitation and lead training and enablement for course instructor
  2. Responsibilities
    • Work closely with Product Management Transformation Office, Design Program Office, and Product Operating and Growth teams to develop the scope, deliverables, course formats, exercise design, course experience and instructor enablement and timing for PM Academy courses
    • Manage program and course curriculum deliverables
    • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams, coaches and facilitators
    • Design course evaluation criteria and assessments
    • Tailors course instruction and facilitates classes to meet participants' learning differences and needs
    • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome educational program risks, and produce course reports for managers and stakeholders


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven proficiency in curriculum planning and instructional design
  • Product management experience, B2B enterprise and SaaS a plus
  • Proven organizational skills, including time management
  • Strong strategic thinking, teaching and coaching skills
  • Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10 or more years of experience in Software Product Management, with three or more years of experience in an educational, enablement, or similar role
  • Website design and digital product management experience
  • Proficiency with Excel, and experience with Keynote + Powerpoint
