Introduction

As Technical Sales Specialist for IBM Power systems is to work with Ecosystem Select Clients and their Partners to identify opportunities, and progress technical sales that results in client success and IBM success. Additionally, you will expand Ecosystem partner skills coverage for your specialty that scales success in your territory, working closely with the Partner Techinical Specialist -Partner and your seller.

Your role and responsibilities

As Technical Sales Specialist for IBM Power systems is to work with Ecosystem Select Clients and their Partners to identify opportunities, and progress technical sales that results in client success and IBM success. Additionally, you will expand Ecosystem partner skills coverage for your specialty that scales success in your territory, working closely with the Partner Techinical Specialist -Partner and your seller. Your understanding of the Ecosystem GTM combined with a territory plan enables you to identify and involve the right Ecosystem Partners with the right skills for client and territory success. You will use your technical expertise to deliver POX(Proof Of eXperience such as Architecture reviews or Demos)'s on client opportunities while at the same time building the partner's technical capacity.

Main roles are Business Development , Progression & Deployment and Managing Growth.
-.Business Development
- Working with Select Territory Clients and their Partners, influence clients' technology strategy through IBM Power Systems Solution proposals, technical proofs (POX's) and compelling value propositions
- Win with Ecosystem Partners against competitors by co-developing a superior technical solutions of Power systems that deliver maximum client business value
- Identify technical opportunities in the territory
-. Progression & Deployment
- Proactively identify and engage with Ecosystem partners to progress Power Systems opportunities in your territory resulting in the successful sale and deployment of IBM Power Systems Solutions
- Advocate the architectures that demonstrate the business value of IBM Power Systems
-. Managing Growth
- Proactively engage with the other Ecosystem roles to grow the technical capability of Ecosystem Partners in your Power Systems specialty in order to scale the IBM Power Systems business in your territory

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

-. Technical Sales Experience for UNIX/Linux Server(AIX and Linux preferred)
-. Be able to demonstrate Power solutions to clients with a clear story, product positioning and value proposition
-. Ability to position IBM power platform / solutions against competitions
-. ISV Solutions(Oracle, Db2, SAP, Opensource DB etc) experience preferred
-. Good understanding of IT infrastructures and IBM infrastructure solutions such as Cloud, Storage and Network system
-. Good Presentation skills and Good spoken and written English skills
-. An active and positive attitude even if there are trials and errors, collaboration mindset for one team
