Your Role and Responsibilities
The PeopleSoft System Engineer supports and leads initiatives for our team, focusing on the PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 application. This role ensures systems and infrastructure operate efficiently, handles upgrades and patches, and resolves technical issues. The engineer supports virtualization, system monitoring, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Lead projects for PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, including system configuration and troubleshooting.
- Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure per organizational guidelines.
- Perform system upgrades, software patching, and application testing.
- Support VMware ESXi, vCloud/vCAC, and Cisco UCS platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows and RedHat infrastructure issues.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security policies.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Expertise in system administration, virtualization, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency with VMware, Windows, RedHat, and patch management.
- Experience developing engineering applications for a large federal agencies
- Hands-on experience with systems technology to include:
- A thorough understanding of Windows Server and Red Hat operating systems
- Experience with Active Directory and Exchange administration on an enterprise level
- Understanding of various services such as DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL and SSH.
- Firm understanding of fundamental concepts of Operating Systems and system components: memory, CPU, kernel,
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance from the US federal government.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Scrum Master certification
- Familiarity with integration tools and APIs for HR technologies.
- Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies to enhance service delivery and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Proven ability to analyze and redesign processes for scalability and sustainability.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, particularly in government or public sector environments.
- Expertise in change management frameworks like Prosci or Kotter to support organizational transitions.
- Strong understanding of how to align HR delivery with company culture and employee engagement goals."
