Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Partner Technical Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

- Storage Strategy Creation: Creating client strategies for storage solutions.
- Enhanced Storage Solutions: Defining IBM storage options to improve existing technology.
- Proof of Concept Delivery: Providing proofs of concept and simplifying technical topics for client understanding.
- Complex Deal Closure: Building trust to successfully close complex tech deals.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Storage Solutions: Understanding of storage technologies and industry knowledge, including IBM Storage products like FlashSystem, Scale System, Fusion HCI, Ceph etc.
- Data Center networking: Understanding of storage networking protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB) and SAN/NAS configurations.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex solutions and collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team including marketing, Dev/Support engineers, and product managers.
- Business-Tech Alignment: Experience aligning business goals with tech solutions using Domain Skill.
- Stakeholder Consensus Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for achieving consensus among stakeholders.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Hybrid Cloud technologies: Experience with VM/Container technologies specifically for Data resilience aspect.
- Competitive Analysis: Understanding of the competitive landscape, including knowledge of other storage vendors and how IBM's offerings compare.
- Performance & Optimization: Ability to analyse and optimize storage performance, including capacity planning, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Building Data resilience, Protection services.
- Storage for Kubernetes, VM, or large Hybrid Cloud environment.
- Advanced skills in Object/File Storage for Unstructured Data.
