The Offboarding Process Excellence & Compliance Lead plays a critical role within the Offboarding mission, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and consistent offboarding process across the region. This role combines being a trusted advisor to various stakeholders and influence mission-critical process improvements. The position will require an understanding of local laws as it applies to separating employees, with a focus on maintaining strong controls and compliance standards working with the local ER/LR & Legal teams.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Accountable for the design and continuous improvement of the MEA offboarding process. This includes driving initiatives to identify gaps, recommend improvements to mitigate risks, streamline and automate offboarding procedures, ensuring compliance to local laws while maintaining a positive employee experience.
  • Drive regional legal & ER/LR compliance posture by ensuring regional compliance with local laws and statutory requirements, data protection regulations, and other relevant policies during the offboarding process while aligning to the global policies of this mission.
  • Be an advisor to the global leadership on the local laws and regulatory requirements and help align it with the global policies. Provide meaningful feedback to leadership on trends and areas for improvement by utilizing data analytics tools to generate insights that can be used to enhance offboarding processes.
  • Ensure regular reporting and management reviews to maintain accountability and transparency in the offboarding process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments such as HR, Legal, Finance, IT, and Operations to facilitate collaboration on offboarding processes. Collaborate with HR teams, ER/LR, legal counsel, and other upstream and downstream processes to ensure that all aspects of offboarding are executed accurately and in a timely manner. Act as the point of contact for cross-functional teams on offboarding-related inquiries, ensuring that processes are aligned with broader business objectives and compliance standards. Partner with global leadership to drive consistency in offboarding processes across the organization while allowing for necessary regional adaptations.
  • Lead efforts to standardize offboarding procedures across the region, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices while addressing regional-specific challenges. Continuously assess and enhance offboarding processes, ensuring they align with Global Offboarding policies and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Manage high-risk and complex offboarding cases, such as senior leadership exits, legal disputes, and terminations involving regulatory considerations by working in close collaboration with ER/LR, legal teams and HRP teams to ensure that offboarding in complex cases is handled in accordance with the law and internal policies, while mitigating potential risks to the organization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

What you will bring to the team:

  • Demonstrable expertise in managing and resolving complex problems, particularly those involving multiple stakeholders across different countries (EMEA region preferable).
  • Experience in delivering regional process excellence projects
  • Excellent communication, strong decision-making and analytical skills, with the ability to assess local nuances, determine risk, and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Experience in utilizing data analytics tools to generate actionable insights to develop and deliver comprehensive recommendations to exec leadership in different HR operational areas covering process compliance, simplification and governance.
