Ensures that the implemented solutions are unit tested and ready to be integrated into their product. Contributes to the automated CI/CD pipeline that takes their code through the various quality stages. • As a developer you will be responsible for providing system maintenance & enhancements and running and protecting the business by providing support for critical applications.

• A key component of how we work is using Agile Practices and IBM Design Thinking to drive customer success, deliver holistic product experiences, and tackle new and exciting challenges related to Application and System development and integration



• As part of a squad you will play a vital role with your Stakeholder, Product Owner, Data and Design teams in designing and developing business critical functionality for our IBM internal analytics solutions.

• In this role, you will be responsible for building requirements into Agile stories, manage and perform test cases across a portfolio of several applications.

• Participate in design, development, review and test efforts for enhancements

• Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with your teammates and interact with our product owners. Collaborate with DevOps team to develop Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.

• Collaborate with key customers and stakeholders to provide IT services and solutions.

• Analyse customer or product owners needs and deliver solutions to meet those needs.

• Provide ongoing steady state support and maintenance of Financial Systems applications

• Be part of open, transparent agile teams who always thrive for continuous learning and contribute towards continuous improvement.

• Contribute to adding Cloud Capabilities for the team to migration activities & simultaneously be able to perform mainframe operational activities.

• Read and understand the IBM Corporate Instructions and Directives

• Work with your SMEs and Corporate Instructions & Directives owners as needed for assistance or clarification on IBM Standards & Guidelines.

• Integrate and implement practices and tools into the squad's DevOps framework.

• Ensuring adherence to IBM Security Standard (ITSS). Work with the squad(s) to ensure that they also understand the standard.

• Perform risk gap analysis and manage any identified gaps

• Document the results of the gap analysis and any corrective actions

• Document the evidence of execution of all application / infrastructure controls

Required technical and professional expertise

• Minimum 10+ years of hands on experience in applications development using Mainframe skills, IMS DB/DC, ZOS DB2, PL1 programming and JCL

• Experience in tools like OPC, SDSF, SPUFI, QMF, SCLM , GIT and File Manager.

• Knowledge of any configuration management tool like Jira, SNow etc...

• Ability to independently analyse requirements based on a given specification and come up with a sound and balanced algorithmic design.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Working knowledge in Mainframe Application Development

• Working knowledge in Mainframe Production support.

• Financial domain knowledge.

• Independent contributor, an ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals.

• Ability to manage change and be open to it good time management and an ability to work under stress

• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
