You will be responsible for building/updating learning offerings focused on IBM Automation products, best practices, working with other Learning Content Developers, and other IBM subject matter experts. Candidates for this position would benefit from having knowledge of or experience with IBM's Application Integration offerings, however this is not mandatory.

In addition, you will have a growth mindset with a passion as a continuous learner, to grow the breadth of the development skills, and deepen the knowledge of the products you develop training for.

You will focus on creating effective training that will bring value to our clients through a positive learning experience with IBM products. You will develop learning assets including demos, hands-on lab exercises and the lab environments that will be used to showcase our technology leadership and to teach to learn how to leverage IBM technologies.

  • Support the IBM Global Enablement mission and the IBM Automation platform business strategies and apply that understanding to build enablement programs.
  • Research, plan, develop and deliver online learning roadmaps for IBM Automation Sellers, Technical Sellers and Business Partners.
  • Create quality, high impact learning assets in collaboration with Product Management, Product Marketing, Development, and other teams to obtain required content or information for content.
  • Create demos and/or related assets such as scripts and video guides to facilitate applied, hands-on learning experiences and re-usable sales assets to help sellers "show don't tell."
  • Be an independent self-starter with the ability to think creatively and collaborate effectively and overcome obstacles to meet deliverables with minimum oversight and direction.
  • Maintain current understanding of the latest technology and enablement best practices and continually update and improve learning materials.
  • Design and execute process of rationalizing, mapping, tagging, and maintaining all sales content and deliver assets in a way that is governed, consistent and measurable using the right technology.
  • Analyze asset usage, feedback and impact to redefine requirements and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assess ambiguous requests and situations, understand who the decision maker/influencers are, formulate relevant action, and take needed steps to execute in a timely manner.
  • Gather and design course requirements including, but not limited to, defining target audience, creating learning objectives, defining use cases and personas, designing, and building technical environments for hands-on labs.
  • Develop technical training content in key offering modalities (instructor-led training, self-paced learning, digital learning).
  • Use standardized development and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Box, Slack, Monday.com).
  • Follow standards and processes aiming for rapid completion and delivery of quality deliverables.
  • This job can be performed anywhere in the United States.

Required education

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Proven track record of driving project timelines to meet program objectives.
  • Ability to quickly grow expertise in IBM Automation product areas which are relevant to the business.
  • Passion and ability to work collaboratively across IBM to build successful content in support of sales and technical enablement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, expert in MS PowerPoint in creating enablement presentations.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Demonstrated skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, GitHub and Docker.
  • Demonstrated skills in IBM's Application Integration offering
  • Demonstrated skills on cloud service platforms and technologies to leverage them for different technical content scenarios of the IBM Hybrid iPaaS platform, such as Multi-Cloud, Hybrid-Cloud and Edge Deployment
  • Demonstrated skills in technical writing and instructional design.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
