Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Review marketing and communications collateral for assigned business areas and effectively communicate with attorneys and clients to identify areas of concern. The role requires an understanding of the FTC requirements for marketing/comms collateral and the ability to review the collateral from an FTC perspective. In addition, the role requires discretion, sound judgment and strong communication and comprehension skills in order to complete the reviews. The role requires the ability to collaborate efficiently with the clients from the initial submission of the request until all issues and comments have been resolved. At times this may involve getting on calls with the clients and the attorney assigned to the asset.
  • Provide backup coverage to other members on the MCC Legal team.
  • Manage the Marketing and Communications Legal internal publisher page.
  • Collaborate with manager and attorneys to review and revise content on the site as needed. This role requires some expertise in w3 Publisher tools.
  • Handle special projects assigned by management.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Marketing and Communications experience required.
  • Ability to learn and master how to implement Federal Trade Commission marketing guidelines into legal reviews
  • Strong analytical skills and ability.
  • Effective communication skills (both in writing and orally)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite Tools (especially word).
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills required in order to apply Federal Trade Commission guidance as well as IBM internal marketing guidance when reviewing Marketing and Communications collateral.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of Workfront, Adobe, box files, and web publisher editing.
