Your Role and Responsibilities
A Japan Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing. This role requires a deep understanding of Japan's complex labor laws, tax regulations, and social insurance systems and fluency in Japanies Language.
- Ensuring compliance with Japan's labor laws, including minimum wage, overtime regulations, and working hours.
- Managing the calculation and payment of income taxes, withholding taxes, and social security contributions.
- Ensuring accurate enrollment, payment, and reporting for social insurance programs like health insurance, pension, and unemployment insurance.
- Overseeing the year-end tax adjustment process, including the calculation of bonuses and the submission of necessary tax forms.
- Accurately calculating employee salaries, including base pay, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.
- Managing the payroll system, including updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Ensuring the confidentiality and security of employee payroll data.
- Leading and managing a team of payroll professionals.
