Your Role and Responsibilities
The position requires business level Japanese language skills (Speaking & Writing, JLPT N1 level)

This is a position with IBM Japan Staff Operations Corporation (ISOC).

IBM Staff Operations Japan (ISOC), a group company of the global IT company IBM, is seeking a BPO Operations Manager position.

This position is responsible for BPO projects related to [Human Resources] for a major client company.

Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple teams (approximately 5 teams) in BPO operations in the area of human resources, and will be responsible for understanding the overall status of operations and coordinating business operations.
  • Management and resolution of operational issues
  • Manage quality and deadlines of operations
  • Presentation of business improvement plans, implementation and promotion of improvement activities
  • Management of operational procedures, etc.
  • Monitoring of operational status
  • Preparation of materials for client/internal reporting
  • Management and education of project members
  • Management and education of project members
Specific human resource practices:
Salary and bonus calculation, attendance management, social insurance, commuting expense calculation, retirement allowance calculation, resident tax, year-end adjustment, etc.

Assumed annual salaly range:Approximately 7-8 million yen

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
The position requires business level Japanese language skills (Speaking & Writing, JLPT N1 level)

  • Ability to analyze situations/risk assessments for operational efficiency and problems, and consider and implement countermeasures/solutions.
  • Team management skills (e.g., managing team members' work proficiency and availability)
  • Experience as a project manager or administrator (BPO, call center SV, etc.)
  • Experience in HR operations
  • Documentation skills (e.g., performance management, report writing)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), PDF, and other general office skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • About 10 years of experience in human resources
  • Experience in managing an operation of 40 or more people
  • Experience in initial establishment and start-up of operations
