Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Delivery Project Manager, you will learn and experience the formulation, development, and implementation of projects that meet and exceed the client's business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with senior IBM Delivery Project Managers that will expose you on how to meet planning, budgeting and staffing requirements. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, you will be client focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.
To help achieve this win-win outcome, a 'day-in-the-life' in this role may include, but not be limited to...
  • Project Management: Creating and executing project management plans including, scope, and change, deliverables and communication controls.
  • Reporting and Metrics Management: Report and strategize solutions for managing project metrics including project health, financials-costs, revenue, and gross profit, team productivity, and client satisfaction.
  • Empathy and Service Skills: Demonstrating empathy and service orientation skills for client success.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Excellent communication and presentation skills that are engaging, compelling, and influential.
• B.S. in M.I.S., Business/Communications with a STEM minor, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering.
• Hands- on exposure to real- world application of computer science, information systems or engineering concepts.
• Understanding and experience with at least one programming language, design tool, or Quantum Computing (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++)
• Familiar with open architectural design including Kubernetes and Container design, database's structure and data fabric, and integrating using API's and scripting.
• Start beginning in July '24.

• Collaboration and Communication Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.
• Self-motivated and Curious Problem-Solver: Demonstrate a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
• Coursework in M.I.S., Business/Communications with a STEM minor, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering disciplines
• Hands-on exposure to real-world application of computer science, information systems or engineering concepts
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail, precision, and time management
• Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team
• Demonstrate a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions
