Technical Support Professionals build, test and maintain infrastructure and tools so that software can be developed and released. Technical Support Professionals support a series of practices and processes that help organizations speed up and automate aspects of developing, testing, releasing and updating software.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
We manage a large Datacenter that provide an On-Premise Cloud offering to our Product development teams. We are seeking a capable and experienced Technical Support Professional who can fill the roles described below:
• As a Technical Support Professional, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing automation to provision OS installations, service configuration, service alerts and ensuring security compliance.
• You must have experience with shell scripting, PHP, Python which are the preferred
programming language of our development team.
• You will respond and resolve issues promptly as we strive to increase uptime and
reduce system downtime.
• As a Technical Support Professional working in an agile environment, code management, development cycle concepts and code management should be your passion.
• Our environments are primarily Ubuntu and Redhat Linux, so certifications and in-
depth Linux experience is a plus.
• You must understand how to use MDADM, RAID, LVM and different filesystems is
important for this role.
• You should be familiar on how to install and manage KVM infrastructure as well as
how to debug and manage virtual machines.
• Understand hardware troubleshooting and debugging methods to timely resolve
issues and collaborate with HW vendors.
• You will be familiar with and BIOS configurations, server hardware components and
network cabling.
• You understand networking concepts, IP management, routing, network bridging,
OVS, DNS, etc. is also desirable.
• As we manage thousands of systems having a strong background in automation with
scripting is a huge plus.
• You will be in direct contact with our internal support and Product development
teams, having strong and effective communication skills, attention to detail and
awareness of our organization's direction is key to the success of the applicant.
• We are constantly evolving our offerings and adding new features to our services, so
the ability to quickly pivot and change direction is key.
• You must be able to lift 25lbs and be physically in the Datacenter five days a week.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 1+ years of Ubuntu/RHEL OS administration
- 1+ years of basic scripting (Shell, Python, PHP)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, hardware debugging and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of scripting and automation
