Job Description
As IBM's main vendor for major financial clients, we conduct proposal activities across a wide range of areas with multiple sales representatives sharing responsibilities. We are currently seeking someone to focus on core banking and cloud infrastructure. As the primary contact for clients, you will listen to their requests and consult with relevant departments (consulting, systems engineering, maintenance, etc.) to lead the proposal process and create direction and milestones. In cases of partner sales, other sales teams will take over, so the Technology Seller we are looking for will primarily handle direct sales. Depending on the team's situation and the applicant's experience and skills, you may also handle proposals related to information systems (data-related) and LOB (non-IT user departments).

What makes this position special?
The team we are recruiting for has been recognized for winning one of the most prestigious internal awards in 2024 and is highlighted as a model case of operating as a single business unit drawn from various departments, showcasing excellent teamwork. The team comprises diverse generations and genders, with many members having joined through mid-career recruitment, fostering a supportive work environment. With top-level sales performance, you will have access to a variety of specialists for support. Even mid-career entrants can work confidently with ample support. If you are interested in opportunities to work with global teams, we can create such opportunities based on your preferences (though this is not a requirement).

Recommended for
The areas currently assigned, particularly core banking and cloud, involve proposing new technologies while maintaining existing domains. This is not a role focused on rapidly acquiring new clients, but rather on cultivating deep relationships with a defined set of clients and progressing steadily. While the client organizations are large and involve multiple departments, there will be several locations to visit. While foundational knowledge is preferred, those eager to learn and acquire this knowledge after joining are encouraged to apply. We are looking for candidates who can effectively manage milestones across multiple tasks and proceed steadily and sincerely.

If you have knowledge in data-related areas, you may have the opportunity to handle information system proposals, promoting domestic infrastructure as well as future data architecture and AI utilization. Additionally, if you are responsible for LOB user departments, you will coordinate with various IBM internal departments to promote a wide range of proposals to diverse client departments.
