Your Role and Responsibilities
This is a position at IBM Digital Services, Inc. As a project manager, you will lead the smooth management and operation of end-to-end projects from the proposal and planning phase to the conclusion of the project in order to ensure the success of system development, operation, and maintenance projects for clients in various industries such as finance, manufacturing, distribution, and public/utility.

Your primary responsibilities include:
• Lead the project as a representative of the client, internal members, subcontractors, and offshore development members.
• Propose, negotiate, and coordinate with IBM in cooperation with the client by utilizing industry business knowledge and technical expertise.
• As a project manager, coordinate the scope, schedule, cost, etc. with the client, prepare project plans based on the results, and promote the execution of the project.
• Plan and manage the work of members in projects with several to dozen members, and conduct QCD management during project execution.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability to communicate smoothly in Japanese with clients and project members
  • Experience as a project manager.
  • Experience in a series of processes in system development (from requirement definition to design, development, and testing).

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Working knowledge in specific or multiple industries.
  • PMI/PMP or other project management certifications.
  • Communication skills with clients and team members.
  • English language skills (reading and writing).
