Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.
You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.

[Your primary responsibilities include]

  • We propose the best solution for our customers by utilizing OCP (OpenShift Container Platform) / container technology and middleware including open source in the cloud (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud) or on-premises environment.
  • Define requirements, design, build, and migrate. We provide the best solution for our clients by using OCP (OpenShift Container Platform)/container technology and middleware including open source.
  • We design and build an optimal CI/CD pipeline to support build-release operations of container applications for agile and incremental application development and operations.

JAPCONS

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • The candidate must be an IT architect/IT specialist/systems engineer with at least 5 years of experience in application development, and have experience in implementing a series of processes from upstream design (system design) to construction and testing.
  • One of the experiences must be in cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/IBM Cloud) or container technology development.
  • Experience in designing and developing full stack applications from UI/front-end to back-end, utilizing various OSS and middleware (UI framework/library, application server, DB, inter-system integration, etc.).
  • Experience in designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines using various OSS or SaaS/PaaS, and automating the build and release of applications.
  • Java/JavaScript/.Net, and related development technologies, environments, and tools.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Conduct proposal activities such as designing solutions in response to customer RFIs/RFPs.
  • Project leadership experience in infrastructure or application development projects
  • Experience with OSS CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Tekton/Argo CD, etc.) for container development
  • Experience in cloud-native development projects that make extensive use of SaaS/PaaS in the cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/IBM Cloud)
  • Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/IBM Cloud) certification
  • Experience in system operations (SRE)
  • TOEIC score of 730 or equivalent; ability to read English e-mails and documents. Higher English proficiency will increase opportunities for activities.
