Introduction
At IBM, Technical Solution Architects work to understand client needs and then create complex, high-quality solutions that make a meaningful impact. You'll be responsible for the overall leadership of SAP solutions, driving technical innovation and ensuring alignment with best practices in cloud migration, security, and cost efficiency. This role is critical in IBM's SAP cloud transformation initiatives, helping enterprises modernize SAP landscapes while balancing cost, performance, security, and compliance.
Your role and responsibilities
This technical role is focused on providing SAP subject matter expertise to assist with architecting first-class IBM Cloud technical solutions on complex pre & post-sale opportunities including client critical situations and onboarding acceleration.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Strong technical knowledge of SAP, S/4HANA, SAP Basis.
- Hands-on experience with SAP tools e.g. SAP Quick Sizer, SAPS metrics.
- Experience with SAP transformations to Cloud.
- Experience in customer-facing interactions with architecture and technical teams, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Self-starter who is a fast learner of new technologies and willing to experiment to find optimal solutions.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with IBM's SAP portfolio and SAP RISE is an advantage.
- Experience with networking, security, and hybrid cloud connectivity for SAP workloads is an advantage.
- Certifications with major hyperscalers is a benefit.
