Introduction
At IBM, Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You'll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You'll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your Role and Responsibilities
This technical role is focused on providing subject matter expertise and automation development on key IBM Cloud focused technologies. This role is focused on both cloud architecture and developing Cloud Automation solutions and tools focused across infrastructure automation, resiliency, and security. This role involves working with other teams extending these architected solutions into deployable assets which helps to accelerate client workload onboarding

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Architect level certification in at least one hyperscaler (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP) and strong knowledge and experience of hybrid cloud design & solutioning in IBM Cloud or another hyperscaler.
- Solid CLoud architectural design background.
- Demonstrated professional experience in software development, with a proven track record in developing quality software solutions (ideally Terraform, Ansible, Python experience).
- Strong experience in working with Cloud infrastructure (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai)
- Experience in automating DevOps pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Travis, Tekton, ...)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: VMWare, Red Hat OpenShift, Power Virtual Server,Cloud Networking, Cloud Security & Compliance, Non functional requirements such as Backup, DR, etc
- Experience in having written and deployed code that runs in a production service in the Cloud and have demonstrated knowledge in reliability (DevOps) and security (DevSecOps).
