Introduction
Ensuring secure and reliable distributed cloud infrastructure, we are looking for an individual to design and implement back-end security infrastructure processes for IBM Cloud. Your Role and Responsibilities
- Standardize, facilitate, implement, and automate vulnerability remediation processes.
- Coordinate with various infrastructure, security, and compliance teams for critical initiatives including proactive patching, security exceptions, and benchmark standards.
- Assist with institutional compliance, audits, and emergency patching as needed.
- Document and review of existing and emergent processes to ensure security/compliance.
- Determine proactive strategies for incident management and remediation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2+ years of experience designing security remediation strategies to solve problems.
- 4+ years of combined practical experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS preferred) and Windows Server.
- 1+ years of practical experience with one or more virtualization technologies: Citrix Hypervisor/XenServer (Preferred), VMware vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V, etc.Proficiency with two or more languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Perl, Go, etc.
- Applicable experience with solving problems via configuration management software (e.g. Ansible, Chef, SCCM, Puppet, SaltStack, etc.), by creating roles/runbooks/etc.
- Experience with container technologies: Kubernetes (preferred), OpenShift, Docker, etc.
- Practical experience with NMS (e.g. Zabbix, Nagios) and log aggregation (e.g. Splunk).
- Practical knowledge with Networking and Storage technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and experience with ticketing, change management, and documentation software (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, GitHub/Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.).
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Previous institutional compliance or regulatory administration experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM discipline.
- Experience in process improvement and automation development using both in-house/proprietary and third-party software.
- Experience managing software/application development and related IT infrastructure.
- Experience with Windows GPO and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
