Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Research - Haifa is looking for outstanding students (undergraduate or graduate) to work as part of a leading team on cutting-edge research in hybrid cloud infrastructures area, contributing to state-of-the-art products and practices. We specializes in advanced hybrid cloud and platforms for AI workloads, including resource optimization, virtualization, networking, Storage and Data. The candidate will be exposed to many facets of cloud ecosystem and is expected to gain a lot of knowledge and expertise in the area.The position involves performing evaluation and testing of complex systems, working with containers and Kubernetes, extending existing software by writing code in various languages (Python, Java, Go, C and Javascript), as well as installing and integrating software packages.

The expected scope is more or less 20 weekly hours during the school year, and more intense during the academic vacations.We are looking for someone who can learn quickly on their own, with excellent programming capabilities and an understanding of programming models. Knowledge in operation systems, networking, data and cloud workloads is an advantage.
