Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Tape Drive Test Engineer, the responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Developing test plans and strategies to cover all aspects of design, identifying failure points, and determining the best verification methods.
• Understand server hardware/firmware functionalities and schematics.
• Creating test cases to exercise design under various conditions.
• Running test cases, analyzing results, and identifying design errors.

• Employing various verification tools and techniques to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Working closely with Sr. Engineers to understand design intent, reproduce issues, and implement fixes.
• Designing and developing test automation scripts using Python and the Robot Framework.
• Maintaining and updating existing test automation frameworks to improve functionality.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Electronics engineering. Master's degree preferred.
• 1-3 Years of experience with Firmware Development & Testing.
• Experience with Python, Matlab, C/ C++ Programming and Linux operating system.
• Experience with designing, developing and testing embedded devices.
• Mechanical dexterity with hand tools required to install Magnetic Heads & setup testers.
• Proficiency in test automation using Python and the Robot Framework.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Familiarity with server design and architecture.
• Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version control software.
• Experience in generating test cases for embedded devices.
