Introduction
IBM Storage Product Management is looking for a talented Storage Project Coordinator to contribute to building our growing need for storage related product assets.

We're looking to build out our collection of all types of assets to support storage product launches as well as the IBM Storage sales team and IBM Business Partners. Storage assets mainly consist of videos, and fall in to several categories such as product demonstrations, unboxing, GUI features, storage customer testimonials and subject matter expert shorts. Other related assets include creation of infographics, blogs, powerpoint presentations, and any new product launch deliverables called upon by the product launch team. Additionally, the role includes organization, metatagging and distribution of these assets.

You will also work closely and directly with Storage Product Marketing and IBM Business Partners to develop compelling messaging and content to enable a global sales force and customer base.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Go To Market Coordinator is an entry level position for a self-motivated individual seeking a career path in product management.

The candidate will have a range of duties which include but are not limited to:
  • Be proficient with Apple Final Cut Pro video editing software, with the goal of assisting in production of various types of video projects such as Customer References and video demonstrations.
  • Learning about and staying current on the IBM Storage Portfolio via IBM's online education programs. This will require basic knowledge of IBM Storage products,
  • Applying the knowledge of our storage product portfolio to assist the Product Management team with projects and deliverables.
  • Perform data mining activities which consist of manipulating (sorting, filtering, extracting) data in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Create and edit Sales assets using various software tools, including Microsoft Office products, primarily PowerPoint.
  • Once proficient with products and software tools, applying creative skills to interview customers, partners and subject matter experts independently.
The Go To Market Coordinator is a position with opportunities to gain important skills for career development.
Once trained, the candidate will participate in IBM Storage related projects such as:
  • Using Final Cut Pro, independently producing short videos including software demonstrations, interviews, and various other projects where the deliverable is a video.
  • Administering, organizing, tagging and maintaining the IBM Storage Best Practices video library,
  • Using BOX.COM cloud storage to organize and share video files

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong English language proficiency is essential (both spoken and written)
  • Basic level skills editing video with Final Cut Pro or other video editing software. Be prepared to bring two sample videos or other creative work to your interview.
  • Strong organization, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with minimum real time supervision.
  • Ability to work closely with counterparts in the United States via video conferencing. This will require candidate to work outside normal hours occasionally (between 6:00pm and 10:00pm)
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office Tools (Powerpoint, Word)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (manipulating data, filtering, searching)
  • Intermediate skill using a MacOS laptop
