Your role and responsibilities
This role manages, improves and optimises processes and delivers standardized and scalable offerings in the area of Hardware Asset Management to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the business unit and continuously improve employee experience. You will be responsible for key IT asset management activities, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization. The primary tasks include:
- Inventory Management: Maintaining an accurate, centralized, and up-to-date IT asset inventory in IBM's asset management systems (EAMT & THOR).
- Process Optimization: Streamlining asset management workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- IT Consolidation & Asset Retirements (Worldwide): Identifying obsolete assets, coordinating with asset owners, Lab Focals, and the GFA team for timely decommissioning.
- Lost & Unlocated Asset Processing: Serving as the focal point for managing lost or misplaced assets, ensuring proper removal from EAMT.
- Compliance & Control Administration: Overseeing machine certification, CBN requirements, and audit support to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Global Coordination: Collaborating with teams such as GFA and Logistics to enhance asset lifecycle management.
- Non-IBM Location Asset Tracking: Ensuring proper documentation and tracking of loaned assets and assets in external locations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generating customized inventory reports, charts, and maintaining documentation via websites and process guides.
Required education

Required technical and professional expertise
- 4+ years of experience in HW asset management
- Self starter with the ability to take the lead on problem solving.
- Strong communicator (Written & Verbal)
- Team player who is at ease dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Excellent professional track record, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Strong cross-functional player with superior co-ordination skills
- Commitment to ethical conduct, transparency
