Your Role and Responsibilities
These roles are based in DC. All candidates should currently reside in the DC, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland areas.

The Brand Sales Specialist (for Select Dedicated accounts) is responsible for driving optimal customer Technology outcomes and achieving strategic objectives for the Brand Sales Specialist's brand in the U.S. Federal market.
As a Brand Sales Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

  • Client Management & Value Communication: Managing clients and effectively communicating IBM's value.
  • Decision Maker Engagement: Identifying decision makers, qualifying opportunities, and establishing partnerships.
  • Sales Process Leadership: Overseeing the complete sales process, with a focus on new business.
  • Collaborative Ecosystem Engagement: Collaborating with the broader IBM sales ecosystem to develop campaigns and boost pipeline growth.
  • They drive the strategy, sale, and closure of deals for select offerings and use cases.
  • Brand Sales Specialists achieve strategic outcomes for their brand and drive customer Technology outcomes, either working with a Technology Seller or as a leader of their own account team.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to sell within assigned offering portfolio; maintain contemporary technical skills and offering knowledge; and leverage marketing to drive customer value. Leads Functional/Business Unit Strategies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Accountable for Federal Storage business unit.
  • Responsible for committing multiple resources and achieving customer satisfaction, cost, expense, revenue and other business measurements of critical importance.
  • Responsible for quality output/value add for highly visible products, services and future business development.
  • Tech Sales Success: A successful track record in tech sales, particularly in new client acquisition.
  • Business Acumen Application: Demonstrated business acumen in explaining tech's operational and financial impact.
  • Influential Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a strong influence.

  • Storage Market Expertise: Storage market knowledge to be a trusted client advisor (training on IBM's Storage offerings is provided).
