Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients' data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Whether it's investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.
Seeking a talented, versatile DevSecOps Engineer with active US Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance and Full Scope Polygraph. The DevSecOps Engineer will be part of a small agile team building a data pipeline, AI/ML-based analytics capabilities, and user interface capabilities for US Government customers. The team is fast-paced, collaborative, and cohesive, and depends on team members to communicate openly to design solutions and deliver quality code.
The DevOps Engineer will work on converting environments and applications to be cloud native (Kubernetes). They will work with Linux operating systems (RockyLinux), support cloud to edge DevSecOps solutions, and help maintain a variety of systems.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance + Full Scope Polygraph required
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins / Gitlab CI), and deployment automation tools (e.g., Docker/Podman and Kubernetes).
- Experience working with other developers and engineers using Agile processes to perform full life cycle development
- Experience hosting containerized mission applications and supporting Cloud-to-Edge DevSecOps solutions
- Experience developing automated configuration management processes and pipelines for deployment to targeted remote devices
- Experience delivering production-ready infrastructure, working on complex problems, and providing innovative solutions
- Experience monitoring the current state and patch level of installed hardware and software deployments
- Ability to effectively support and contribute to general IT operations, user support, and IT policies compliance and coordination
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience deploying software to US Government secure enterprise environments
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
