Your Role and Responsibilities
As a successful Project Manager in Technology Expert Labs, you will lead a team of technical experts to ensure the formulation, development, and implementation of projects that meet and exceed the client's business objectives. In this role, you will work closely with client stakeholders and the IBM team to meet the overall integrated solution plan, budget, schedule, and staffing requirements while exceeding your client's expectations. Project Managers at IBM succeed by demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and presenting solutions.

  • Project Management: Creating and executing project management plans including, financial, scope, and change, deliverables and communication controls.
  • Cross-Team Communication: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the client, partner, and account team on project status.
  • Reporting and Metrics Management: Report and strategize solutions for managing project metrics including project health, financials-costs, revenue, and gross profit, team productivity, and client satisfaction.
  • Building Credibility and Influences: Navigating across venues to resolve issues, developing and documenting risk mitigation strategies, providing project direction that quickly builds credibility and influences as a trusted advisor.
  • Developing a high-performing team: Cultivating teamwork and problem-solving while working under delivery expectations and deadlines.
  • Empathy and Service Skills: Demonstrating empathy and service orientation skills for client success.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Should have 8+ years of experience managing largescale webMethods engagements as project manager and/or SCRUM Master and should be adept at managing multiple projects, in parallel, when required.
  • Contract management and portfolio management: should have experience of drafting and managing various types contracts such as Fixed Price (FP) and Time & Material (T&M).
  • Should have experience in understanding and managing financial indicators such as gross margin, revenue - forecast vs. actuals and in billing and invoicing
  • Coordinate and work with sales, pre-sale and internal teams to understand business needs and articulate proposals through means of presentations, case studies, proof of concepts etc.
  • Technical experience implementing Integration engagements

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Should have experience in working with multi-cultural global teams and customers
  • Should have managed engagements of more than 15+ resources and should be familiar with all aspects of project management.
  • Assumes responsibility for a project and provides leadership in setting up project from initiation to implementation and ensuring that customer, people and business goals are met while delivering high quality solutions
  • Recommends and implements process improvements with focus on innovation and value to customers
  • Experience supporting Pre-sales and Bid management
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs from potential customers
  • Work on optimizing cost and ROI to create a persuasive bid
  • For winning bids, draft statutory and legal documents such as letter of intent, master services agreement, statement or work etc.
  • Must be adept at executing projects using various Agile and Kanban implementation approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean and/or ScrumBan
