Your role and responsibilities
As a consultant, you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who partners with clients to drive meaningful transformations across all aspects of their organization by aligning strategies, optimizing resources, streamlining operations, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
A successful Consultant is regarded by clients as a trusted business advisor who collaborates to provide innovative solutions used to solve the most challenging business problems.
Simpler's Consultants support the planning, preparation, and implementation of improvement to enable better decision making. They have practical process improvement and data analytic experience and are essential for reinventing your business for the future.
The Consultants are an integral part of the client delivery team. They deliver billable work (on site and remote) for the engagement and their support is typically the following:
- Identify, collect, analyze, and present data to drive actionable insights
- Complete detailed analytics to support the preparation, facilitation, and sustainment of value stream improvement
- Coach client team members on data collection and analysis to ensure successful root cause problem solving
- Provide data analytic support and coaching in the collection and analysis of performance data and the tracking of key metrics and financial benefits
- Support ongoing learning of the client's team to ensure successful transformation and outcomes
- Use your excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills on a daily basis
Note: there are multiple locations for this role, but need to be located near major airport to support high % of travel to client sites required.

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement methodology such as of Toyota Production System, TPS, Lean, DMAIC principles, tools, and techniques
- Excel including intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formatting as table, creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, using embedded functions, selection of and creating the right chart type for the data, logical and organized structuring of files.
- Coaching, leading teams either in business, academic or personal level
- Executive presentation skills - using tools such as PowerPoint
- Engineering degree
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Background in manufacturing
- Knowledge of Agile practices or Lean certification
- Process Mining Experience

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
