Your Role and Responsibilities

• An IBM Cloud Architect designs, develops, and implements scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using IBM Cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, container orchestration, serverless computing, and databases.
• They collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, engineers, and project managers, to translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure successful deployment and maintenance of cloud-based systems.
• Additionally, IBM Cloud Architects stay current with emerging trends and best practices in cloud engineering and maintain expert knowledge of IBM Cloud offerings.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and implementation strategies
• Proficiency in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud systems using IBM Cloud technologies
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
• Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Understanding of security principles, encryption methods, and identity and access management techniques
• Excellent communication and presentation skills Preferred Skills:
• Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Architect)
• Experience working with big data and analytics solutions, such as Apache Kafka, Spark, and Databricks

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Previous experience leading architectural designs and migrations to cloud environments
• Working knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning frameworks and libraries
• Familiarity with serverless computing and managed services offerings
• Experience with cloud migration assessment and planning
