Your role and responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating catalogs for high-transaction and/or preferred suppliers for goods and services, increasing these suppliers' usage, reducing lead time, and minimizing pricing issues, resulting in savings to Client and efficiency.
  • Providing ad-hoc and regular reports
  • Produce all needed inputs to calculate and present SLA's towards the client
  • The primary responsibility of the Catalog Manager is to run, execute, and report on catalog projects.
  • Support and manage Client's Catalog Program as directed by business. Proactively work with Client locations and Category Managers to develop and maintain catalogs. Such activities will aid in reduction of leakage, decreased lead time, and other efficiencies for Client.

  • Upon implementing a catalog, the Catalog Manager will continually review catalogs to determine the best methods for increased effectiveness (increasing the percentage of catalog selection as part of the supplier's overall transactions with Client).
  • General, review and distribute monthly reports. Metrics include, received from reporting representative:
  • PO Lines: Catalog vs. Non-Catalog
  • Catalog Supplier Lines: Catalog Selected vs. Not Selected
  • Number of Non-Catalog Suppliers
  • Support Guided Buying implementation and management related tasks
  • Consulting with Delivery teams and Client Procurement teams to find Catalog opportunities
  • The Catalog Manager must continually evaluate the personnel needs of the program, including:
  • Understand current processes and tasks
  • Determine the time these tasks take to perform
  • Create efficiencies to reduce task times, enabling the team to support more catalogs with the same headcount

Typical Activities
  • Initiate contact with suppliers, buyers and business on opportunities
  • Communicate process improvement recommendations to procurement program
  • Review transactions and identify catalog opportunities
  • Development relationships with all locations to understand buy desks and opportunities for catalogs
  • Support catalog implementations for new sites
  • Perform monthly catalog reviews
  • Track and communications for upcoming catalog expirations to owners
  • Communicate necessary catalog assessment items (e.g., effectiveness to buyers, usage opportunities to purchasing users, etc.)
  • Notify business users of new catalogs
  • Review monthly reports from Catalog Program (effectiveness reports, items not in catalog) and work with category management and suppliers for improvement

Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, sourcing and spend analysis
  • Experience with Sourcing and Contract Management Tools
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
  • Individual must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple cross divisional work processes, projects and teams.
