Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting Business Transformation Consultant-Data Platforms for a 18-months fixed term contract, based in Sydney.

You will be part of an Application Development team that is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of development and enhancements. As a Business Analyst your responsibilities include -

  • Working with stakeholders across functions to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Engaging the business to elicit, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements, including creating user stories.
  • Analysing and mapping data, ensuring consistency and quality across systems.
  • Developing and proposing solutions and test cases to validate them.
  • Facilitating workshops to capture current processes and design future state processes.
  • Experience and Knowledge of Agile and Scrum Process and coordinate with distributed teams
  • Design and build deliverables to ensure traceability of the built solution to the architectural principles and business objectives.
  • Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner
To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills -
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as application developer with expert level skills in Mainframe Technologies, DB2, IMS, COBOL, PLI, CICS, IMS DC, JCL, OPC, Control-M, ZOS Connect and APIs
  • Good knowledge and experience in Everyday Banking and CORE Banking
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience in data analysis, modelling and mapping between systems
  • Deep understanding of the business analysis fundamentals
  • Experience in gathering stakeholder needs and translating these to detailed requirements
  • Experience in process mapping, business process modelling using software such as MS Visio or other enterprise endorsed platforms
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving positive outcomes /results
  • Ability to apply and monitor the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards
  • Effective communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills. Can collaborate with stakeholders across seniority levels
  • Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence)
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of system specifications and documentation
  • Demonstrated experience in anticipating business needs and implementing innovative solutions to transform business processes

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
