Business Area Manager, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (60% telecommuting permitted): Manage global (onshore-offshore) delivery of the project and responsible for resource allocation based on capacity and demand. Work with client IT/product team to understand their business needs and help them in solutioning and planning the resources. Establish quality procedure for the team and continuously monitor and audit to ensure team meets quality goals. Responsible for developing project plan schedules, estimating time and cost of the project, and tracking to closure. Responsible for handling project release with the help of JIRA and Application Life Cycle Management tool to track the project progress and defect life cycle. Provide Single Point of contact for client in the managed areas for escalation and workload management. Create forecasts of resource availability, and workload to ensure resources are scheduled optimally.
