Backend Developer

Your role and responsibilities

1. Back-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based back-end solutions. Implement RESTful APIs to
support various front-end applications and integrations.
2. Code Management: Work with a large code base to optimize performance, enhance scalability, and ensure maintainability. Expert in
Troubleshooting, debugging, and rigorous code reviews.
3. Collaboration and Communication: Interact with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and
implement solutions. Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews to maintain high coding standards.
4. Platform and Database Expertise: Work on development platforms including Windows and Linux. Utilize knowledge of databases such as
Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL to support back-end processes.
5. Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, sharing best practices and fostering continuous learning within the team. Stay updated on
emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve systems and processes.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Programming:
  Proficiency in Java, J2EE, REST API development, and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, JSON, CSS).
• Database:
  Expertise in one of Oracle, DB2, or MS SQL, with a focus on optimization and performance tuning. SPARQL knowledge is an added
  advantage.
• Development Tools:
  Hands-on experience with Eclipse Plugin Development.
• Platforms:
  Strong familiarity with development on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Soft Skills:
  Proven ability to mentor team members and conduct constructive code reviews.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to tackle complex technical challenges effectively.
• Agile Development: Experience working within Agile methodologies for iterative and incremental development.
• Innovation and Leadership: Ability to lead brainstorming sessions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to streamline deployment and maintenance workflows.
