Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Backend developer, you will be part of a highly focused, self-managed team that designs, develops and tests secure solutions created for Z Systems workloads and applications.
You will take technical ownership of new features and capabilities for our solution and provide design and implementation leadership for these features.
In this capacity, you will work closely with the architecture and Development teams in the agile implementation of high-quality deliverables.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Development and Consulting Experience: Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Familiarity within incident response process, vulnerability management, or product security.
- Familiarity with VA scan, AppScan, Nessus scan, QRadar and other security scanning tools.
- Ability to research CVE details on Ubuntu website or other available source on Internet.
- Experience or familiarity with Ubuntu or other Linux based operating systems.
- Good Programming Skill on Python, Bash or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms is a plus.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Expertise: In all phases of software development including architecture, design, coding, unit testing and functional testing
- Problem-Solving Skills: Root cause analysis and debugging skills are necessary for effectively identifying and resolving issues in mainframe applications.
- DevOps Familiarity: DevOps- GitHub, Jenkins.
- Programming Proficiency: Good Programming skills - Python, Ansible, Experience working in Linux environments
