Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant, operating as individual contributor, you will learn and lead experience generation how we apply technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery using consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, you will be client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges.

To help achieve this win-win outcome, a 'day-in-the-life' of this role may include, but not be limited to:

  • Developing Solutions to Reach True Business Value: Understanding clients' main challenges and developing solutions that help them reach true business value by working through the phases of design, development integration, implementation, migration and product support with a sense of urgency.
  • Agile Planning and Execution: Creating and executing agile plans where you are responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.
  • Self-Motivated Problem Solving: Demonstrating a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative in addition to navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills as you work across the client, partner, and IBM team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of the IBM Automation portfolio.
  • Professional knowledge in the planning, design, and delivery of one or more products from the IBM Business Automation portfolio or IBM Integration portfolio.
  • Experience in advising other professionals on specific knowledge related to the Automation brand portfolio of products, within Diamond and Strategic accounts.
  • Expertise in Cloud Pak for Integration, IBM ICE or IBM MQ or Expertise in Enterprise Content Management or Process Automation technologies
  • Expertise in architectural planning and implementation for the upgrade/migration strategies for the related products.
  • Experience in the OpenShift platform or competitor Kubernetes offerings.
  • Experience in team or project leadership.
  • Provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional teams.
  • 5+ years of automation experience.
  • 5+ or more years of solution consulting or relevant industry experience.
  • The second European language despite good command of English is a must.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in AWS or Azure cloud platforms
  • Experience in troubleshooting, logging, debugging errors and connectivity issues.
  • Software development languages
  • CI/CD processes and pipeline tools for deploying and managing applications.
  • Source control management systems (e.g., GitHub)
  • Data and event streaming technologies (e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Flink)
  • Cloud platforms and their services
  • Virtualisation technologies
  • Containerisation and container management platforms (e.g Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift) Linux
  • Networking and security
  • Preferred second language: German, French, Spanish, Italian
