Your Role and Responsibilities

We're on the hunt for a visionary and 10+ experienced Product Owner to join our tribe of creative thinkers and guide our clients to greatness. As a Product Owner and Business Transformation Consultant you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who sells, leads and implements expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. You will oversee client-focused product and software development while ensuring we build innovative solutions that address customer needs and business requirements.

As our Product Owner, you will lead a team of insightful designers and developers as we imagine, build, and refine solutions that are loved by customers and drive business growth. We do not just build apps - we craft phenomenal end-to-end experiences fuelled by a deep understanding of people's needs. You'll foster a culture of radical collaboration, spurring the sharing of wild ideas and pushing boundaries.

Our workspace feels more like a design studio than a corporate office - you'll be surrounded by sticky notes on walls, whiteboards covered in sketches, and a buzz of energised collaboration. We believe real magic happens when diverse minds come together to design clever products informed by what people love and value, both physically and virtually.

As a leader, you will have strong commercial acumen to identify market opportunities and translate them into high-value product solutions. You'll empower people to develop solutions beyond what we thought was possible. You won't just manage product delivery - you'll nurture a culture of innovation and help our team grow through continuous learning.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Strategic vision and relentless user focus
  • Develop c-level value propositions and storylines for proposals
  • Build high-performing teams across disciplines to bring concepts to reality
  • Lead design thinking sessions to foster collaboration and continuous innovation
  • Develop and refine product roadmaps with the technical and design leads
  • Guide creation of prototypes and MVPs to validate target user value
  • Foster deep collaboration across design and engineering functions
  • Promote practices for quality, speed to enhance user experiences
  • Oversee UX research and analytics to continuously refine products
  • Advocate for consumer needs and design simplicity with stakeholders
  • Define and manage clear product KPIs and success metrics for every engagement
  • Monitor product analytics dashboards and optimize based on real-world performance
  • Manage client expectations and align on go-to-market success criteria
  • Identify creative ways to apply AI to solving problems
  • Pursue partnerships to keep technology innovations ahead of the curve
  • Model GRIT - a growth mindset, resilience, intensity and teaming for your team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ years managing products and services, focused on commercial viability
  • Extensive experience and zeal for design thinking principles and workshops
  • Proven servant leadership uniting cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Resilient through challenges, focused on user-centered solutions strategy
  • Comfort prototyping with users to test concepts and ideas early and often
  • Expertise translating design and user feedback into sound technical requirements
  • Broad knowledge of software engineering and user experience best practices
  • Outstanding communication, strategist and advisor passionate for client success
  • BA/BS in Human-Centred Design, Engineering or related field required; MS preferred
