Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced z/OS Application Developer with over five years of expertise in mainframe application development, maintenance, and modernization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying high-quality applications on the z/OS platform.

- Design, develop, and maintain z/OS applications using COBOL, PL/I, and assembly language.
- Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of new features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications.
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy applications, leveraging contemporary technologies and methodologies.
- Document technical specifications, code, and design decisions.
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in z/OS application development.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in z/OS application development.
- Extensive knowledge of z/OS operating system, JCL, DB2, and IMS.
- Proficiency in COBOL, PL/I, and assembly language programming.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., SCM, Git).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, UCD) and practices.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Application Developer - z/OS) are a plus.
