Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement OMS Components: Create and configure OMS modules and microservices to support order processing, inventory management, fulfilment, and customer service.
  • Design OMS Solutions: Design comprehensive architectural blueprints for composable OMS solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Integration and Orchestration: Integrate OMS components with existing systems (ERP, CRM, eCommerce platforms) and orchestrate workflows to ensure seamless end-to-end order management.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize OMS performance, scalability, and reliability to meet business demands and SLAs.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest developments in OMS technology, composable architecture, and industry best practices.
  • Support UAT, QA and Performance testing initiatives to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Mentor and train junior Engineers/Consultants in OMS or custom solution development.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 3 year and maximum of 5 years of development experience in IBM Sterling OMS. Strong background in developing and implementing OMS solutions using using IBM Sterling Commerce Order Management system, Java/J2EE, XML, XSD, XSL, SOAP, REST Web service.
  • Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript, and scripting for automation and integration. UI design & development hands-on experience on any of the TypeScript, Angular, React etc.
  • Microservices Architecture: Fair understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • APIs and Integration: Integrate Sterling OMS with other enterprise systems, third-party applications, and external APIs.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for deploying and managing OMS solutions.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management.
  • Proven people skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
