In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation. You'll collaborate with clint stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client. Your primary responsibilities include: Strategic Analysis and Modernized Solution Design: Analyze and translate IT requirements using modernization frameworks into components of a modernized solution. Agile Development and Cloud Application Testing: Develop and test applications in cloud environments and be part of Delivery/Engagement teams. Optimize Digital Modernization Assets and Methods: Reuse and enhance Digital modernization assets, methods, and collateral. Innovative Cloud Infrastructure Solutions and Collaboration: Collaborate in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions and services for our customer's needs.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Should be expert in these technologies - rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replatform, containerization
- Should have very good understanding about migration tools, migration network requirement, application, database and integration component migration pathways.
- The practitioner should have experience in working on Azure and ability to map existing components/functionalities to Azure specific services and deeply understands the advantage and disadvantages of related Azure Services.
- Very proficient in Java, RESTful APIs , API Gateway, Microservices communications, RDBMS/NoSQL DB and DevOps methodologies and tools. Strong understanding of API and Microservices-based architecture, with at least three years of experience in implementing Node.js, Spring boot, Spring Cloud, or Netflix OSS technologies.
