Your Role and Responsibilities

As the AI for Business, Product Marketing - PLG Lead, this individual will be responsible for driving a consistent IBM POV and a successful go-to- market strategy for NCA in our priority AI products and offerings, for IBM's largest campaign, which includes responsibility for achieving IBM Data & AI, Automation, and Consulting targets.

  • You will work directly with the AI for Business Campaign Leader to translate business priorities into marketing objectives and set the strategy for our platform, priority products and offerings.
  • You will partner closely with the AI Campaign Leader to bring forward and standup innovative activities to support our brand relevancy targets
  • You will be accountable for clearly communicating product roadmaps across Software, Infrastructure and Consulting to Demand Strategy teams and ensuring priority product launches/feature launches are integrated into demand plans.
  • You will work closely with the Product Marketing teams across Data & AI, Automation, Consulting, and Infrastructure to tailor a consistent IBM message (majoring on platform, assistants, AI services and automation)
  • You will be responsible for representing Product Marketing priorities across all areas of the business (Software, Infrastructure and Consulting) in regards to the AI for Business Campaign and act as the one point of contact for Demand Strategy, Content Strategy and MCC discipline leaders to define priorities and oversee the development of the end to end campaign (from brand marketing to demand, global to geo execution, and so on).
  • Guide program squads on prioritization of activities and audience based on gaps in pipeline, market opportunity, upcoming product announcements and key trends.
  • You will also work closely with Demand & Experience to guide the demand strategy, Content Strategy on the content journey, and Communications/CSR to develop a robust earned media program.
  • This role has direct influence on the success of the business and is measured by business revenue, pipeline, and marketing contribution KPIs.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

General / Leadership

  • Proven strong leader, able to think strategically and have a hands-on management style.
  • Excellent judgement based on data, business/marketing acumen, and expert resources.

  • Exceptional collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and matrix management skills.
  • Track record of building, developing, motivating, and managing high-performance teams.
  • Strong organizational and operational skills, very comfortable with performance metrics.
  • Minimum Band 7 level with 2 years of pertinent professional experience.
  • Marketing and Communications Discipline.
  • Business acumen and ability to build and implement marketing business plans.

Product Marketing/Communications experience:

  • Identify and size buyer audiences.
  • Build go-to-market architectures.
  • Understand persona and buyer journey mapping.
  • Create product/portfolio/ messaging and content.
  • Launch major market moments, bringing offerings to market.
  • Support sales routes with product/portfolio deliverables.
  • Develop marketing and communications strategies and editorial calendars.
  • Established ability to articulate product vision and strategy based on a complete understanding of customer and market needs (current and future).
  • Strong ability to express (verbally and written) market category points of view, product value propositions, and clear differentiation from competitors.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Success in fast growth enterprise and SaaS solutions serving a worldwide customer base.
  • Strong understanding of inbound, outbound & "land and expand" marketing strategies.
  • Content, digital, and/or field marketing experience.
  • IT and Business Automation technology market experience.
