In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
- Extract insights from complex datasets, both structured (SQL databases) and unstructured (NoSQL databases, text files, images, etc.), to drive business decisions and strategies.
- Utilize Neo4j as the primary graph database for complex data relationships and queries, leveraging its query language, Cypher, for efficient data exploration and analysis.
- Develop and maintain software systems that integrate AI capabilities, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct research to identify new data sources, and create data pipelines to extract, clean, and transform raw data into structured formats for analysis (leveraging Python)
- Document and present findings

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer or Data Scientist.
- Proficient in Python, with experience in other programming languages such as Java or C++.
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and principles.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and familiarity with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is preferred.
- Expertise in Neo4j and Cypher for graph database management and querying.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Fluent in both English and Romanian
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience in software engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, understandable manner.
