IBM is seeking experienced and dynamic Technical Delivery Consultant to work directly with customer accounts and to customize, extend and deploy standalone IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or as part of IBM's Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) software in customer environments.

The Consultant is a technical, customer-facing role having paramount impact on customers' experience with IBM's ACE / CP4I software in customer environments. The position is responsible for an exciting range of projects solutions. The ideal candidate will have provided hands-on systems engineering capable of providing consulting services in complex environments.

He or she will have excellent software and system design skills, including knowledge of web applications, Kubernetes, and Dockers in Linux and Windows environments, along with the ability to manage and support customized developments and implementations.

You are responsible for successfully deploying integration solution based on IBM Hybrid Cloud Integration software such as ACE and MQ.

You will directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • You will work with various industries within the Integration space to deploy ACE / CP4I solutions extensively in the area of Redhat OCP, Devops as well as integration on various platforms and clouds
  • Conduct health check and recommend improvements in architecture or configuration based on IBM best practices.
  • Perform Migration and Application Modernization
  • Perform integration code review based on IBM best practices.
  • Design and develop integration flows using IBM software to fulfil customer's integration requirements.
  • Conduct enablement sessions on IBM software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design and configuration issues in the customer's environment.

You will also be responsible for or should have:

  • Installation and administration of standalone ACE, MQ and CP4I
  • RedHat OCP install
  • Experience with networking and network security
  • Knowledge in applying patches and upgrades on ACE and MQ
  • Infrastructure design or integration application engineering solutions
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and Dockers
  • Knowledge of the configuration of ethernet interfaces, link aggregation, and VLAN interfaces
  • Knowledge of secure backups and secure restore
  • Questions on how to approach, architect, implement various use cases on transaction security, data mediation, and transaction routing
  • Creating/supporting the formulation of statement of work (SOW). Assessing duration/activities/resources/prerequisites involved in an ACE engagement

Key Requirements:
  • application development and/or systems engineering experience
  • technical support or consulting client-facing experience, preferably with an organization serving mission-critical operations
  • Has proven Project Management skills to provide implementation schedules while adhering to company's architectural standards and principles
  • Has provided technical leadership (Architecture, Design, Development oversight) and team leadership (planning, collaboration, conflict resolution, driving results) on both small and large technology projects
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration
  • Strong scripting skills
  • Experience developing and deploying code in a High Availability environment
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, MS Azure and/or other cloud computing platforms
  • Hands-on experience configuring VMware (Workstation / ESXi) environments
  • Knowledge of directory service configuration (LDAP and Windows Active Directory)
Knowledge of Security best practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with public and hybrid cloud
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience installing/upgrading ACE / CP4I
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience installing RedHat OCP
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with perimeter firewalls, Web application firewalls
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Scripting knowledge
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a client-facing role

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Preferred field of study: Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant technical field
