Your Role and Responsibilities

Start and End Dates: Summer 2025 (3 months)

As part of the IBM Global Real Estate (GRE) team, you'll engage in a variety of real estate disciplines, such as strategy, space management, workplace design, engineering, construction, leasing, acquisitions, and more. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real estate activities during mergers & acquisitions (M&A) deals, while contributing to IBM's global real estate operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with real estate activity during M&A deal integration, execution, and ongoing implementation.
  • Coordinate administrative hand-offs with other parts of the GRE team.
  • Identify, vet, and implement process improvements, including documentation standards and metrics.
  • Ensure proper authorizations and adherence to business controls.
  • Provide transaction process guidance and support to regional GRE teams.
  • Contribute to cross-deal coordination, offer advisory support, and participate in "lessons learned" reviews.

Success in this role relies on your ability to work both independently and collaboratively within IBM's large, matrixed organization. This is your chance to expand your skills and contribute to impactful projects.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Enrolled undergraduate student at an accredited university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Passion for process improvement and innovation.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
