At HubSpot Media, our content reaches 50 million people every month through such popular franchises as HubSpot Marketing , The Hustle , My First Million , How to HubSpot and dozens of other YouTube channels, newsletters, podcasts, creator partnerships, blogs and more. As a senior content leader, you'll set and lead the editorial vision, and serve as the executive producer of a rapidly-expanding world-class video team; overseeing a network of 8 YouTube channels that help millions of people understand complex business topics and teach them the skills they need to excel in their careers.

Expanding our YouTube audience and generating leads is a top priority at HubSpot. We're searching for a talented editorial and production leader to drive significant growth in views, AVD, and subscribers - ultimately increasing leads and HubSpot users. This high-impact, high-visibility role offers the chance to help shape the future of our video strategy and help HubSpot continue to reset expectations for B2B-focused content.

We're looking for an experienced YouTube leader with a proven track record of building and growing successful channels and a deep understanding of compelling educational content.

The ideal candidate is comfortable selecting and shaping stories that resonate on YouTube; managing an ambitious editorial calendar; and partnering with cross-functional Audience Development (analytics), Global Growth (search) and Monetization (conversion) partners to turn viewers into HubSpot customers. This person will guide our team of talented producers, scriptwriters, editors, motion designers, and external contractors - and help expand the team throughout 2025 through hiring FT and outsourced critical new roles.

Vision & Strategy

You will be responsible for implementing an editorial strategy that fuels audience growth and customer acquisition across our YouTube channels. This requires close collaboration with Growth, Audience Development, and Monetization teams to ensure a data-informed approach to content creation and optimization.
  • The Hustle (95k subs): Continue to engage audiences with unconventional business stories, founder features, and internet curiosities.
  • Marketing with HubSpot (467k subs): Deliver high-impact strategies and tactics that empower SMBs to acquire new customers.
  • Business with HubSpot (NEW): Provide practical, actionable advice that helps founders and sales professionals excel.
  • How-To HubSpot (NEW): Empower HubSpot customers to maximize the value of our product and achieve their business goals through product tutorials.
  • + 2 net-new channels launching in Q1 and Q3 of 2025, which you'll also drive the strategy for

Editorial Direction: Create must-watch videos and series that attract new viewers, keep them coming back for more, and ultimately convert them into qualified leads. Stay ahead of YouTube and social video trends to ensure our channels are constantly innovating and reaching the widest possible audience. Continuously optimize content performance based on data and insights.

Production Leadership: Set a high bar for editorial excellence. Guide producers in crafting compelling content lineups and rigorously testing formats to optimize audience engagement. Lead constructive content reviews that encourage creative exploration and data-driven iteration.

Channel Management: Partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve key channel metrics, including click-through rates (CTRs), average view duration (AVD), and lead conversion rates. Obsess over the details, from compelling titles and thumbnails to effective calls-to-action and offer creation. Run A/B tests to identify what resonates best with your audience. Partner with Growth and Operations teams to streamline workflows, improve channel performance, and maximize impact.

Team and Resource Management: Guide and mentor a talented team of producers and on-camera talent, ensuring projects stay on track, on budget, and deliver exceptional results. Oversee the budget, production operating model, systems, and processes. Strategically balance internal and external resources to maximize video output and efficiency.

We are looking for people who have:
  • Experience creating YouTube content (in both short and long form) that has successfully driven views and business outcomes
  • Scaled high-growth video teams and strategies within media or B2B companies
  • A passion for video storytelling and the ability to spot what works and doesn't work
  • Deep expertise in YouTube channel management and video production
  • A knack for managing diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
  • A deep understanding of digital content trends, audience preferences, and social video
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to keep colleagues on task
  • Experience and appreciation for using data to inspire creativity and expand the aperture of what's possible
  • A proven track record of hitting or exceeding ambitious growth metrics
  • The capability of blending creative ideas with operational efficiency
  • A flexible and open-minded approach to work, and a willingness to make adjustments based on audience feedback and channel metrics
  • An interest in all things media, and a demonstrated history of media innovation

  • An understanding of the latest algorithmic trends across YouTube, TikTok, and Meta platforms


Cash compensation range: 240000-384000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot's bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
